Started officiating AIA football in Oct of 1985. Multiple playoff games and state championship contests during his career. Azfoa member for years, as well as president of the association for a two year term. Great mentor and teammate to many officials in the state of Arizona. Became the commissioner of officials for the copper football league in 2002 until 2012 to continue his mentoring and guidance of officials to help better the officiating in the state and the advancement of our officials. Paul retired after the 2014 season. He is an official that many know and look up to. Many have stated that they owe their success to Paul and respect him not only as an official but also as a man and father figure. Paul has done a great deal to help Azfoa members become better officials and make the azfoa the best association in the country.
