Mike was about giving back, he spent countless hours teaching mechanics to new officials and always made himself available to anyone who wanted to learn. When it came to football, Mike was a wealth of knowledge.

During his time on the field, there was no better wing official in the State than Mike Chase. Mike had an exceptional knowledge of the rules, his mechanics were spot on, and he had a great feel for the selectivity of his calls. Lastly, he had a way with coaches and players. He could talk a coach off the ledge and continue to work an intense game with ease.

Mike also worked several years in the Western States Football League as well as various Arena Leagues. Mike became and NFL replay official and continues in that role today as a senior replay official.
