David has many accomplishments they speak for themselves:
David was a master at pre-game meetings, long before HUDL, he would gather video from prior games and put together pre-game packages for the crew. He was always in the rule book and challenged his crew to do the same.
After leaving the High School ranks, all members of his crew moved on to working in more Championship games. Much of their successes were in part due to Davids mentoring and training as a Referee.
Davids talents took him to the next level. His college career started with the Big Sky but he quickly moved to the PAC12 where he currently works today. David has worked multiple Bowl games, as well as, PAC12 Championship game.
David is the recipient of the 2011 Jim Murphy Volunteer Award for having demonstrated and above and beyond
commitment to football officiating. His efforts in mentoring, training, and standardizing the promotion process all led to this recognition. This award is not given annually, which makes this accomplishment much more valuable.
Above all, a day or two after working a high-profile NCAA game, David can be seen on a Junior High football field working a flag football game. For him, its all about giving back. He is not arrogant about his accomplishments but rather the opposite. He is always giving back, helping when and where he can.
